Brew Your Own
I began homebrewing in 1997 when I came across a Mr. Beer kit at Sears. My wife and I had just started dating and she was a pretty good sport about trying it even though it was pretty bad. I plugged away with what info I could find in those days before YouTube, but I never had the benefit of getting involved with more experienced homebrewers. One thing that I have really enjoyed over the last few years has been the opportunity to help others discover this craft. If you live on Kauai and are interested in learning to brew, send me a message and sit in on a brew session. I try to keep my events & calendar up to date so you can see when Iām brewing. In the meantime, I will try to post helpful videos here so you can see how to get started.
BrewingTV
This playlist is the ultime homebrewing course. I was really sad when this channel quit producing, but at least it is still available. Some of the other videos below are taken from this list.
All-Grain
I am now an all-grain brewer. This is a pretty basic setup, and similar to the one I used when I got started in all-grain. There are simpler setups than this though, so stay tuned for more videos posted.
Brew in a Bag
A nice way to enter in all-grain or partial grain brewing without all the heavy equipment. I have used this method successfuly in making small pilot batches as well.
Yeast Starters
Making a yeast starter is one of the easiest ways to up your game and ensure a productive fermentation.
Yeast Harvesting
Recovering and re-using your yeast is easier than you think. It just takes a little planning ahead.
