Support Your Local Homebrew Shop

Whenever possible, I will always advocate supporting your local homebrew shop, even if it costs a little more. Homebrewing is a community and we lose a lot when we lose the community hubs. Having said that, the local shops don’t always have everything, in which case you need to know where to look. The listings below are resources I have found to be reliable for ingredients & equipment. These are not affiliant links, so I don’t get anything out of it. I just want you to have access to what you need.

Homebrew in Paradise

(My local homebrew shop) Simply the best place to get homebrew supplies in Hawaii. These guys are excellent and always go the distance to best serve the customer

NorCal Brewing Solutions

Some truly innovative designs & specialty equipment.

Homebrew Supply.com Williams Brewing Austin Homebrew Supply

All have good quality & variety inventory and reasonable shipping rates.

White Labs

My favorite yeast brand. If your local homebrew shop doesn’t have or can’t order the specialty yeast you need, you can order direct from White Labs and it is pretty reasonable. However, if you can wait, you might get a better deal if you have your LHBS order for you.

Northern Brewer

A little controversial since they were bought out, but they still carry a good variety of equipment & supplies. I don’t shop there as much as I used to, since the shipping to Hawaii is a bit expensive.

Amazon & Ebay

If you really know what you’re looking for and can’t find it anywhere else, you can occasionally find it on Amazon & Ebay. Just be very careful about who you’re dealing with and ask questions.

Check back often for additional suppliers. Let me know if you come across a good place to shop.
